                                 "Playing In The Fields"

Succeeding the release of two albums, BARBIE’S CRADLE together with Warner Music Philippines released its newest baby, a third album entitled PLAYING IN THE FIELDS. The said title was depicted from one of the beautiful songs included in the album mentioned. In connection with this, the theme of the album embodies an outpouring of a young woman’s heart and childlike faith, and encapsulates a person’s spiritual fervor and passion for God.

The songs in this album include All I need (is God) and the band’s own version of a Ryan Cayabyab hit, Limang Dipang Tao. Moreover, in the album are some originals such as Bam- Bam, Simile Smile, Dragonfly, and Pag-Ibig. Also, the song 121/Idlip which was used as a movie theme song of the film Crying Ladies is one of the hits in Playing in the Fields. Further, another breakthrough happened with the band when Rivermaya’s former guitar man, Kakoy Legazpi joined the cradle as second guitarist, contributing to the group’s brilliant music. Despite of not being able to record with the band for its third album, Kakoy was included in the music video of Independence Day, last track in the album mentioned above.

Playing in the Fields featured the following musicians: Rommel Dela Cruz on bass, Wendell Garcia on drums, Kakoy Legaspi on guitars and Barbie Almalbis on vocals and guitars.
